under the generic Type 198. The final configuration seated 150 passengers, featured an ogival wing and six 22,000 ib.s.t.
Bristol Olympus 591 powerplants. A smaller derivative, the BAC 223, eventually led to the BAC Concorde.

was later re-serialed A58623. This unusual serial has never been explained but, as the airframe was used for structural testing,
possibly the serial was associated with that.
