Type 146
 
Single-seat, all metal eight-gun fighter monoplane to Specification F.5/34 to meet the requirements of OR.14. One 840 h.p. Bristol Mercury IX powerplant.
Type 148
 
 
Two-seat, all metal low-wing monoplane army co-operation aircraft to Specification A.39/34 to meet the requirements of OR.18 and utilising many Type 146 components. Initially one 840 h.p. Bristol Mercury IX powerplant, later fitted with the 905 h.p. Bristol Perseus XII.
Type 148B Type 148 fitted with the 1050 h.p. Bristol Taurus II powerplant.

Type 147
 
Two-seat, all metal turret fighter monoplane to Specification F.9/35 to meet the requirements of OR.20 and featuring the same wing, undercarriage and tail unit as the Type 148. One Bristol Perseus powerplant.
Type 147A As Type 147 but featuring a Bristol Hercules powerplant.
Type 148A Type 148 modified as a test bed for the Bristol Hercules powerplant.
