Type 501
Two seat unequal span tractor biplane, initially built as an amphibian, fitted with a single a sprung central float designed by O. T. Gnosspelius, from which projected three small wheels, two in the rear and one forward, and two outrigger floats under the wings. This arrangement proved unsatisfactory and Gnosspelius replaced it with a twin float unit without wheels. Apart from a considerable strut-braced top wing overhang, the aircraft was similar to an enlarged float-equipped Avro 500. It featured constant chord ailerons on the upper wings only, and the original style Type 500 rudder with a tail float attached to its lower edge. Later it was converted to a landplane with a two-wheel, twin skid undercarriage but the track was still too narrow to support the aircraft vertically at rest and stout wing tip skids were necessary. Large inversely tapered ailerons replacing the constant chord units. One 100 h.p. Gnome powerplant.

Type G / Type 503 (See Note 2)
Two seat twin float seaplane, a slightly larger version of the Type 501 and featured less of a overhang on the mainplane and no inclined struts, large inversely tapered ailerons on the upper wings only, and the original style Type 500 rudder with a tail float attached to its lower edge. The aircraft were later converted to landplanes, with the two-wheel, twin skid undercarriage of the Type 500, but featuring the tail skid and 'comma' rudder that had been introduced on the Type 500. One 100 h.p. Gnome powerplant.

Notes
- Deleted from RNAS inventory in February 1916. Reported as being rebuilt using Avro 503 parts, it was exported to Norway in 1919 but not registered until 9 April 1927, as N-5 to Christian Hellesen in Tönsberg.
- Per Harlin [4], this aircraft was initially refered to as the Type G and not Type H as given by Jackson [1], reusing the designation of the earlier cabin monoplane. This was quickly changed to Type 503 with the introduction on the new designation system.
