Type Description
- Type 533 Manchester Mk.I
- Three seat long distance photo-reconnaissance fighter or short range day or night bomber to meet RAF Specifications Type IV, VI and VIII. A large three-bay equal span biplane of wooden construction with fabric skinning, capable of carrying a bomb load of 880 lb, it was a development of the Type 529 (in fact, originally designated Type 529B), including a shorter, deeper fuselage, enlarged tail surfaces and bench-type aileron balances. Two 320 h.p. A.B.C. Dragonfly I powerplants, fully cowled and housed in nacelles on the lower mainplane.
- Type 533A Manchester Mk.II
- As Type 523 with two 300 h.p. Siddeley Puma powerplants. The revised nacelle shape increased the effective area of the lower wing by 4 sq. ft. All tail surface areas were less than the Mk.I, with shorter vertical surfaces and a horn balanced elevator.
- Type 533B Manchester Mk.III
- As Type 523 with two 400 h.p. Liberty 12 powerplants.

- Jackson [1] gives airframe only built. Air Britain register [2] gives delivered to AES/AEE 21 October 1919, although this author has seen nothing else to confirm this.
