  • A.115
  • (Also known as the E.3 in the original Auster designation system, the Beagle Mk 11, or, unofficially, the AOP.11). Three-seat AOP aircraft, a development of the Auster AOP.9, to which it was was almost identical except for powerplant, a large dorsal fin and, initially, landing gear strut covers and wheel spats, though these were later removed.
    A strut-braced high-wing monoplane, the wing was an all-metal single-spar structure, witha leading edge torsion box, fabric covered, and featured a dihedral of 2°. Slotted ailerons and split flaps were of metal construction, with fabric covering. Ground-adjustable tabs iwere fitted to the ailerons. The fuselage was a fabric covered welded steel-tube structure. The tail unit was a cantilever all-metal stressed-skin construction, with a trim-tab on port elevator. The pilot and one passenger were located side-by-side, with a second passenger in rear of cabin, facing either fore or aft. Access was via a door at front on each side, and at rear on starboard side. One 260 h.p. Rolls-Royce Continental IO-470-D powerplant.
